State Bank of India

Overview

The State Bank of India regional offices in Lucknow were reimagined by Studio Clarion through a spatial identity rooted in the cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh. Developed across the CGM and LHO premises, the design translated the state's architectural landmarks, traditions, and visual narratives into large-scale installations and environmental graphics. From the ghats of Varanasi and Kumbh to Ram Mandir and Rumi Darwaza, each element contributed to a workplace that reflected both institutional identity and regional character.

Rooted in Uttar Pradesh

This approach shaped the interiors as an extension of the region itself, bringing together cultural references, craftsmanship, and architecture within a contemporary corporate environment.

Applied across murals, architectural installations, environmental graphics, and crafted material finishes, the visual system translated the cultural identity of Uttar Pradesh into the workplace. A bespoke metallic SBI emblem, detailed with engraved regional illustrations, anchored the interiors with a balance of institutional presence and cultural context. The result was a spatial identity that reflects both the stature of the institution and the heritage of its region.
